The Crater
The itinerary starts from the Courtesy Point Too To Train in the Circumvesuviana station of Pompeii scavi Villa dei Misteri and let us discover one of the most fascinating path of the Vesuvius National Park. After a few kilometres by highway we reach the spectacular road that will take us to the top of the volcano. Throughout the winding road we will see unforgettable landscapes. On one side the characteristic volcanic nature, on the other side the Gulf of Naples holding Vesuvius basis. Along the road a contemporary and permanent modern art exhibition is installed: 10 European artists carved the lava stone to celebrate Vesuvius.
From the height of 1000 meters we follow a path in slope to reach the very top of the volcano and then a volcanic guide will tell us about the most relevant phases of the history of Vesuvius in a short explanation.
