Boscoreale Excavations
Boscoreale, a town located at the north of Pompeii on the slopes of Vesuvius, is by someone identified with the Pagus Augustus Felix Suburbanus. It was inhabited since the Protohistory (tombs of "Fossakultur") thanks to its fertility, and was reoccupied after the 79 A.D. eruption (Baths in Via Casone Grotta, 2nd - 3rd cent. A.D.). Romans built many rustic villas committed to the cultivation of vines, olives and cereals.
